Nike has revealed it’s latest running shoe and it is a turbo-sized upgrade to its Zoom Pegasus sneaker line: Zoom Pegasus Turbo.
Zoom Pegasus Turbo
The new shoe line is inspired by its already existing Nike Zoom Vaporfly Elite and 4%. The new line features the same ZoomX foam in the midsole and aerodynamic heel and is carefully designed with input from top runners who have participated in major high-level marathons such as Eliud Kipchoge and Galen Rupp. The Pegasus Turbo’s foam-based build features 85 percent energy return while being the lightest foam employed in any Nike shoe line coming in at 8.4 oz for men’s size 10 and 6.9 oz for women’s size 8.
The ZoomX foam in Pegasus Turbo also provides for a comfortable daily training session for everyday runner unlike the Zoom Vaporfly Elite and 4% which was more suited for marathon race runners.
The Zoom Pegasus Turbo will be available for Nike Plus members in the US, China, Japan, Germany, U.K., and Brazil from July 19 onwards through the Nike and NRC apps. Nike enthusiasts in France, Spain, Italy and Netherlands will be able to pick up this new line via the Nike app. The shoe will be released globally on August 2, 2018 via Nike.com.
